A day with us
Calm mornings, busy afternoons.
Every day is a little different, but the rhythm stays the same. A predictable routine helps our Montisaurs feel safe and ready to explore.
A typical day
Our adventures vary from day to day, and we follow the children's interests. Here is the shape of a full day.
- Breakfast
Our early starters enjoy a nourishing breakfast. It's a relaxed way to begin the day
- Work cycle & Snack rotation
A calm start to the morning helps children settle, focus and engage with their work. The children prepare their own snack and take turns inviting a friend to join them, enjoying this time together while maintaining the calm and concentration of the classroom.
- Garden time
Our outdoor area is central to our curriculum, supporting children’s physical development and coordination,.
- Lunch and siesta
A home-cooked lunch, followed by a rest for those who need it.
- Afternoon work cycle & Milk time
The children begin their afternoon work cycle and take turns to enjoy a glass of milk with a friend
- Supper time
We enjoy a hearty meal together
- Outdoor Exploration
We finish the day with some time in the garden, giving the children a final opportunity to play, move and enjoy the outdoors before heading home
Meals cooked with love
All of our meals are all prepared fresh every day in our own kitchen. Our menu features wholesome options and is changed to reflect the season.
Children eat together from non-toxic, sustainable tableware. We keep mealtimes relaxed and encourage everyone to try new tastes.

What parents say
“The staff are incredibly nurturing and caring, while also making sure the children are learning and developing through a really thoughtful, individual approach. The fantastic garden and the amount of time the children spend outdoors is another real highlight.”
“They go to great lengths to work with each family to help their child settle in. It’s tiny, and with only a few kids it feels like a warm and safe place for the little ones’ first experience away from home. The garden is especially lovely. We feel lucky to be part of the montisaurus family.”
“I’m overwhelmed by how special this place is - I was so nervous to start my daughter at nursery and I couldn’t be more grateful. She thinks of them as family. If I could write 500 for this place I would.”
“Communication with parents is excellent, and we always felt he was safe, loved and well cared for. We feel very lucky to have found Montisaurus and would wholeheartedly recommend it to other families!”
