Inspired by Montessori philosophy, we give every child a calm, prepared space to explore, create and grow at their own pace.
The Montisaurus mission
Our mission is to provide a nurturing and stimulating environment that encourages creativity and growth in every child. We prepare our little Montisaurs for the world through their daily "work", with a focus on the five pillars of development, and we make sure every child is planned and catered for.
We are a small nursery on purpose. With limited spaces, we get to know each family well and work closely with you to help your child succeed.
Our curriculum
Montessori philosophy
Our curriculum and our space are inspired by Montessori. Children choose purposeful activities from open shelves and are free to follow their interests, across physical development, numeracy, literacy and expressive art.
Outdoor adventure
We give children lots of chances to engage with nature, in our garden and around the neighbourhood. Being outside builds sensory and motor skills and a sense of wonder for the world around them. Look out for us on our adventures around Southfields!
Sensory play
Sensory play is a central part of our day. We carefully curate activities that stimulate the senses and enrich each child's learning experience.
Imagination station
Our classroom changes regularly and is prepared around the interests of the children attending that day. It supports a wide range of interests, child-led learning and creativity.
Team building
Group activities focus on communication, cooperation and confidence, so children become comfortable working together towards a shared goal.
Seasonal projects
We plan seasonal projects around key calendar and cultural moments to celebrate our community.
Meal times
We keep mealtimes relaxed and fuss-free, and encourage children to explore new tastes with our home-cooked food. Meals are prepared fresh in our kitchen every day.
Caring for our planet
We teach the importance of sustainability through games and stories. Children learn to care for their environment while having fun.
Curious little hands explore everything, so we use eco-friendly learning materials, non-toxic cleaning products and safe, sustainable plates and cutlery that won't harm your child or the planet.
